Fresh Spring beauty buys

Spring is always such a cathartic and nostalgic season for me, and I am so grateful that we have finally hit the marker for the start of the season. There is something so healing about being able to soak up some vitamin D (even from my living room window), and to feel like change is on the horizon. I love warmer weather, and it just gives me new energy to put myself together and get out of the house (as much as is possible right now).

While this past week was absolutely frigid, the week prior and the temps this week call for outdoor dining, and putting on some of the outfits that have been sitting in the back of my closet for the last few months. And to go along with all of this energy is, of course, some fresh new beauty.

I feel like Spring is all about bringing back the bright colors that we turn away from in the colder months, and this is certainly something I tend to do. I haven’t been doing the clothes shopping I normally do during this time of year, as there isn’t really anywhere to go, but I will also be scoping out and shopping new beauty.

For Spring, I am loving anything that gives a healthy glow, pops of pinks, and just that really fresh look you associate with the season. I’m sharing some of the new beauty I’ve been using and loving already this season, and putting them all together in one beauty look. These are items that I think go great together, but are also just beautiful products that stand on their own.

If you haven’t tried cream blushes, then start here, with this Tower 28 Beach Please blush in a bright, but warm pink. This isn’t quite hot pink, but it gives such a fresh and youthful glow to your everyday look. Even if you’re not into packing on the makeup, this blush is just such a gorgeous addition to even the simplest, paired down beauty look. It’s also just super easy to apply with my favorite blush brush, and blends so easily into the skin. Want a little extra pop of color? Add a bit to your lips for a subtle pink pout.

Most days, I don’t want to apply a full face of foundation just to sit behind my computer inside. However, I do like to feel a bit more put together and go a step beyond skincare. This tinted moisturizer with SPF from newer clean beauty brand, Saie, is so dreamy and gives you a great glow from within kind of look. It’s super lightweight, feeling like you don’t even have makeup on. It’s a light coverage product, but really just amps up a natural look with the added sun protection we always forget we need. It’s the perfect product for Spring, and it wears wonderfully under a mask.

You know I’m always onto some new mascara, and I have been absolutely in love with this new mascara from Lancôme. It just give you perfect lift, perfect depth, and really builds out a gorgeous lash with just one coat. Because the brush is bendable, and has a curved spooly, it really just allows for you to get right into the root of the lash. No smudging, no flaking, just the right amount of mascara without that overdone look, perfect for a little lift while you work from home, or buildable for a more glam look. This is already a top favorite mascara for me.

Now the star of the show is this insanely gorgeous eyeshadow palette from Black-owned beauty brand, Uoma Beauty. If you haven’t looked into this brand, you are missing out. From their lipsticks to their palettes to their contour sticks, I have a growing wishlist from this brand. As soon as I saw this pink palette, I knew I had to have it, and it has not disappointed. A perfect balance of matte and shimmer shades leaves you with so many looks you can create.

If you love the Pillow Talk collection from Charlotte Tilbury, or really any of her product line, then you absolutely must try this eyeliner. It’s in an unexpected maroon color, and if you have lighter colored eyes, it will really make them pop. While it’s a color you might think would make the eyes look red, really it just has the most subtle impact that adds to any eye look either in the waterline or at the root of your lash, blended or winged out. This is most definitely a makeup staple to try.

These fresh beauty buys are my current go-tos for a simple Spring look, just to lift the spirits a little bit. If you love to play with makeup, or you’re just looking to add a little life back into your daily look, then these products are all must-haves.
