Labor Day Sephora Sale
Labor Day weekend sales are up and running! Labor Day sales are often end-of-season sales, and so you there are often some great deals to shop this weekend. While pursuing some sales this morning, I decided to check out the Sephora sale, and boy, was I pleasantly surprised.
To be honest, I don’t think the Sephora sales where they are placing certain items at a lower price are usually that great- normally, I am much more eager for their holistic discount sales like the one I posted about a few weeks ago.
But this one has some great items on sale, and I felt it was my obligation to put together a little post of what I think are the best items to grab at these low prices. Likely, they are clearing out for new inventory, but there are some staples here, along with some great palettes that often times we don’t want to splurge for when we need other things.
So here are my picks from their sale this weekend- I personally ordered this lip in Freckled Fiesta after seeing it on WhatKateFinds– so impressed with the application and pigment- as well as this favorite setting spray and this eye tip for my Glo Pro micro-needler (while the main device isn’t on sale, I highly recommend this device if you’re looking to start with any at-home device).
If you’re not typically willing to spend money on palettes, this is your chance. Run! There are some amazing Nars palettes on sale that are typically around $60-$70. I love this multi-purpose face palette from Nars– it’s a one-stop-shop for the face, which makes it perfect if you’re travelling. You can even use them as eye shadows to just get the damn thing done with one palette. I also own this one from tarte and it’s a great palette for a full face.
There are two eye shadow palettes from Nars that are a steal right now, and I own this one. It’s perfect for summer or vacation, and I love the browns and golds for year-round neutrals. I also think this palette is just a great starter palette for anyone who is not an eye shadow expert. I have also seen my queen, KJH, use this palette from clean beauty brand, Aether, and I think it is gorgeous and a great neutrals palette with just a subtle shimmer. And I can’t resist a liquid eye shadow for a day when I want a one-and-done situation. Love this magenta tone for a quick all-over eye, and I have been dying to try Kosas, so I snagged this one. They have a pretty gold one on sale, too.
For full-face makeup, I love this foundation from Josie Maran– it has argan oil so it’s perfection for super dry skin, if that’s you. I used it while I was on Accutane, and it was the only foundation that didn’t get cakey or flake during the day.
If you have hair damage, or find your hair very frizzy after the shower, you must try this Aquis hair towel. They don’t usually go on sale, so I am surprised to see it on this list, but if you get nothing else, I highly recommend this turban towel. It has really saved my hair- I don’t know quite what the magic is, but it speeds up drying and prevents frizz during styling.
And let’s end on a skincare note, because it is really the foundation to any great makeup, and maybe more where your mind is during our mask-wearing normalcy. Any set from OleHenriksen is a yes for me- it’s such a great way to try their products, and I have used and love this set from them. Their products are just exceptional, and great skincare staples for newbies. I’ve written about this lactic acid treatment before, but this is my new go-to for an at-home facial, or just a nightly treatment. Check out my post on acids here.
That’s a wrap folks- I hope you pick up some goodies for yourself, and celebrate the start of fall with some new beauty faves. Enjoy the long weekend, everyone!
