My Sephora Spring Savings sale picks

If you know me, then you know I live for a Sephora sale. And in the last year, likely as a result of the fact that many aren’t wearing as much makeup while working from home + the economy’s state, there have been a lot more of them. I have shared in the past some of my orders, as well as the staples I think are always worthy of a Sephora sale (or really anytime). But this time, I’m coming prepared for this sale.

Unless you’re signed up for their Beauty Insider program and/or subscribe to their emails, you might not even know there is Sephora sale coming. Here are the details of the Sephora Spring Savings event:

These sales are such a great time to do two things – 1) try the products you’ve been dying to try but haven’t yet, and/or 2) stock up on all of the products you already love (you can find my list of always re-purchase products to shop in the sale here). I am going to be doing a combination of both of these in the sale, and have been waiting to place a Sephora order in a minute (so, like…3 weeks?) in anticipation of this event.

I am gearing up and have spent the last two weeks adding and deleting items from my cart as I sleep on them, and determine what I really want to buy. Yes, I am going to buy more than the average person in these sales – this is my hobby, but what I buy and try is also how I fuel content for this blog, and therefore, I do it in the name of business and for all of you.

Here are my picks from the Sephora sale:

01.02.03.04.05.06.07.08.09.10.11.12.13.14.15.16.17.

Let’s start off with the products that are new to me and that I have already purchased in the sale so far. This palette from the makeup artist behind the glowing neutral makeup of Kim Kardashian released a makeup line a few months ago has been in my cart for months, and I’m using this sale as a chance to finally click, “Place Order.” There is nothing more beautiful than a multi-purpose palette that is a one-stop shop for any summer travel you have coming up. From smokey eye to that no make-up look, this palette is perfection. On the same brand, I grabbed this eye pencil that is meant to brighten up your eyes when used on your waterline, which I am so eager to try as I am just feeling so tired all of the time. Pair that palette with this dewey bronzer from one of the makeup brands quickly becoming a beauty staple for me – these products pack a punch, are clean beauty, and just some multi-purpose products. I grabbed this bronzer that was just released in an extended shade range in time for the sale.

I recently wrote a post about how I am loving Sephora’s dedication to increasing their investment in Black-owned beauty brands, and this sale, I am shopping those brands. Starting with these two products from Danessa Myricks – I am ready to go all in on this brand, and I am starting my collection with this color fix product that can be used on lip, eyes and cheeks in a beautiful neutral color. I have seen so many influencers use these products, and they just seem so practical and incredible to have in your repertoire. Also adding this beauty oil to my cart, a perfect product to combine with your foundations or put on before any other foundation products for that glow factor. And if you missed the last few weeks of posts, then I’ve been working on wearing my natural curly hair more often, which means investing in some haircare to help protect it. I grabbed this kit from Bread, which includes their cult-favorite hair oil, that apparently smells a bit like Skittles, a rinse and conditioner – I am ready.

And it wouldn’t be a Sephora order with some skincare to try; my number one product I wanted to try was this oil-free, gel-based moisturizer from Summer Fridays, which is going to be perfect as the temperatures and humidity increase with Spring. I cannot wait to try now that I’ve seen so many rave reviews. I also grabbed this Glow Screen from Supergoop, both for body and for face, and I cannot wait to try, as it’s another cult-favorite. Last but not least, I added this toner from REN, a skincare brand I have been itching to try, to replace my daily peel pads, for a more environmentally friendly approach to my exfoliation in my morning routine.

Like I said, the Sephora sale is also a great time to stock up on favorite products that are tried and true, but you wanted to wait to score that discount. No shame in that game – I have been holding out 3 weeks on re-purchasing my favorite eyebrow micro-blading pen for that very reason, just on principle. If you’re looking to fill in your brows, but hate the clunky look of an eyebrow pencil, this one is a game changing product that lasts longer than any of its competitors. I would also stock up on two of my favorite concealers, both of which are products that can be used with or without foundation. For a dewier complexion and on days my skin is drier, I love this concealer from Make Up For Ever, which is just a staple in my beauty kit for it’s high coverage and brightening components, excellent for my under-eyes. For a softer, more matte complexion, I am in love with this soft matte concealer pot from NARS, which blends like a dream, sits great over skincare, and never looks chalky- the biggest reason I avoid anything matte. NARS always does it right.

For skincare picks, I am amped up that Sephora is now selling the hands-down best moisturizer on the market for aging and scarring – Augustinus Bader’s The Rich Cream. This is the product I will tell you is worth every single penny it costs, especially if you are concerned about post-acne scarring, dark spots, hyperpigmentation, aging, you name it. It truly turned my skin around completely, and the results are something worthy of it’s price tag. You can try this cult-favorite cream in a smaller size and with the discount for around $70. Run! On a much less expensive but equally delightful note, I restocked my favorite second-round and morning cleanser from Indie Lee– I love this brand more and more, and if you love a Starburst scent, you have to try this cleanser.

Sephora recently started carrying Oribe, my #1 all-time must have hair product line. Yes, I am a hair product snob, but I pay a lot of money to color and take care of my hair, and I am not going to use crap product to negate the money I put in. These products are very much worth their weight in gold, and I am recommending the two that I think are the greatest styling game changers – the dry texturizing spray to bring volume to even the finest of hair, and their Royal Blowout spray, which is a multi-purpose pre-blow-dry product that saves your hair and gives you the smoothest blowout.

Last but not least, I have to share this, perhaps random, but so wonderful product that is a great little treat yourself present to grab during this savings sale – my favorite candle from Maison Louis Marie. If you’re a fan of Le Labo, but not of their price tag, this candle is the perfect dupe for their cult-classic scent. And might I say, slightly less powerful which makes it just a touch more wonderful if you’re scent-sensitive like I am. It smells like a boutique hotel in a candle, and you’re going to love it’s fresh and earthy scent that is just unmatchable, plus for a great price.

I hope you grab what you love and want to try from this sale! It only comes around twice a year, so it’s a great time to buy more and save more, as soon as your tier hits. Not a beauty insider? Even if you rarely shop at Sephora, it’s free to sign up, and you slowly rack up points for free products, which is a great way to try more. Sign up anytime, and shop this sale!
