Pretty Busy Weekly, 5.18.20

The weekly digest is to share all of the products, people, meals, and ideas that I’m currently loving. I get so much of what I know/try from others; this space pays homage to them, and all of the new things that are inspiring and keeping me busy each week.

Cold feet? I’ve got your solution. If you’re like me, work has never meant sitting at a desk for hours. This new life means my feet are constantly freezing. I love Raeann’s sporty lax bro look for adults at home. I love these socks, even if my husband hates them. See my look above.

My husband’s birthday is this weekend. For his gift, I got him a juicer so we can make fresh juice in the morning. In an effort to get in more fruits and veggies, we have been trying new combinations. I’m loving Beth’s creative daily juices on her stories, adult beverages included.

It’s week 10 in this new phase of life. Social distancing and working from home has officially become the new normal. Nothing new to share when your friends and family call? Keep your social calls exciting with a game. My colleagues have been creating trivia for our Friday happy hours, and last week my friends and I played Scattegories virtually on Zoom.

If you’re trying to curb your caffeine addiction that seems to be so much easier to feed throughout the day when we’re working from home, try this afternoon pick-me-up to recreate a Starbucks favorite. Mix 1/4 cup of chai tea concentrate with 3/4 of a cup of your favorite milk. I like to whip up oat milk in my Nespresso frother. Pour over ice and enjoy.

I love Celine sunglasses, but can’t justify the price tag for another pair right now. Check out these amazing sunnies from Kathleen Barnes for under $40. Polarized and oversized, check and check.

If you haven’t tried Spindrift seltzer, then you aren’t living. My husband and I are addicted, and just discovered the cucumber and strawberry flavors. This is superb seltzer, unsweetened, and made with fresh fruit juice. Perfect if you’re looking to cut back on cocktails during the week. Looking to try pineapple next.

Dinner inspiration abound, we tried and loved Half Baked Harvest’s coconut popcorn chicken with sweet chili lime sauce. Crispy, sweet and savory, and super simple to make at home. Follow her stories for daily recipes. like homemade poptarts, popovers, and dinner ideas.

Lastly, if you’re addicted to candles like I am, try this rechargable lighter. No more running out of fluid and burning your fingers. With a flexible stem, this is a real game changer you didn’t know you needed.
