Sephora Holiday Sale Picks

This is a very delayed post that I am finally putting together, but nothing says it’s the fifth day of the 2020 Election like the need to distract yourself with skincare. As I sit here and anxiously watch CNN, I thought I would put together a little post on what I have (stress-) ordered from the Sephora sale that’s going on a for a few more days.

In my last Weekly, I shouted out a few of the really great holiday sets that I would buy/have bought. Holiday sets are a great way to try new products, or get greater quantities of of a product that you love while also trying new products from the same brand. You can check out those recommendations here.

I also put together an always-favorite list from Sephora during the summer sale. This post has my top ten skincare buys, and my top ten makeup buys that are on my holy grail list. This sale doesn’t put certain items on sale, but it offers a holistic discount on your purchase depending on our rewards level. You can sign up for their rewards program (and I highly suggest that you do, even if you only shop every so often) at any time, and you get a greater discount the higher your level. Bottom line, this is a great time to pick up some products you love, or products that you have wanted to try. You can find my 20 favorites here.

For some bloggers, the Nordstrom sale is their Superbowl. Personally, that’s. not my jam. There’s a few bloggers who are serious about skincare and makeup, and are ambassadors for Sephora who have put together awesome lists for this year’s Sephora sale that inspired some of my own purchases. I loved Grace Atwood’s picks, Maddy Gutierrez’s picks, and Krista Robertson’s picks. All have comprehensive posts, and they are bloggers who really love and test out products in the beauty industry.

I have now placed two orders to the sale, the second of which was just a result of waiting on Wisconsin and Michigan. Here’s what I picked up in the sale – some of these are new products for me, and others are reorders of products I have and love.

My favorite candles are now at Sephora! I love Otherland candles, and the holiday fragrances dropped just before the Sephora sale this year, which means I had to scoop one up. Chris and I love anything balsam scented, so we grabbed this Fallen Fir scent. I had also heard amazing things about this Maison Louis Marie candle for years; I have their perfume, and it is light enough not to trigger a headache. Scent No. 04 is a much more affordable version of the Le Labo Santal 26 fragrance, coming in at only $34. This particular scent is sold out right now, but I also love No. 09, and would imagine they are all just as gorgeous and highly saturated in scent.

I am almost out of the Vitamin C I am using in my skincare routine, and my skin has been insanely dry lately. I splurged for this Biossance Squalane and Vitamin C rose oil from the sale, and have been super pleased with it so far. It doesn’t have a super floral scent, and it’s a light enough oil to wear under makeup if you use it in your morning skincare routine.

I was also looking for a new eyebrow gel, as one of my favorites is no longer being made or sold in the U.S. – tragedy! I like something with a firm hold that is going to really comb through my thicker brows. After reading the reviews, I grabbed this eyebrow gel from Benefit that has a brush that very much intrigues me.

On my have and love reorder list is this Ilia mascara (can’t stop, won’t stop talking about how amazing it is), this Summer Fridays vanilla lip butter, and this Necessaire natural deodorant that I started using this summer. I really love this deodorant, and it surprised me. I think it’s great for a person who sweats on the lighter side, and although it applies in a thicker consistency, it melts into the skin really quickly. If you’re looking to try a natural deodorant, I love this one for scent and consistency.

In the best news, my favorite eye patches are also being sold in a jumbo pack for a great deal! It’s normally 6 packs for $25, and this pack offers you 18 for $45. I grabbed a pack, and am going to store them in my fridge for weekend mornings. They are premium quality.

Lastly, we all need some major help relaxing right now – it’s been quite the week to say the least. I decided to put in an order for my favorite bubble bath of all time (the lavender scent is great for calm and headaches), and am going to try this coconut milk soak from Herbivore, which just sounds dreamy to me.

Don’t sleep on this sale! It runs through the 9th, so pick up some things while you can with a discount. Everyone deserves some TLC right now – treat yourself!
