Biker Shorts for Every Budget

If you’re scrolling through social media, then you are aware that biker shorts are a major vibe for spring and summer. But you might be wondering- “Am I cool enough to pull this off?”

My answer is always yes. You should never hold back from trying something new for fear that you’re not enough. Your style and the perception others have of it will evolve. It’s more about how you feel than how you actually look to others.

I was on a Peloton ride with Ally Love this morning, and she said, “I’m sick of holding back.” We think so much about what others believe we can or cannot do that we start to believe it about ourselves. Stop believing that this trend isn’t for you because you’re too this or too that, and instead, embrace what you want to wear.

I’m 5’2″ and very curvy. I’ve got thick thighs and short legs. So if I had listened to the haters, I wouldn’t be writing this post for you. But I am here to say, I am HERE for the biker short trend, especially if you’re looking for an exercise and lounge option as you quaratine from home in the hotter weather.

My advice? If you’re on the shorter side, find a pair with an inseam that is 6-8″. If you’re on the curvier side, don’t go any shorter than 6″, or you’ll be regretting it during any form of mild exercise. Lastly, keep the colors simple; find nuetral colors that can bulid up your confidence. They will pair well with basics, or set the foundation for a fun look with a loud graphic tee.

Check out how I styled my biker shorts for spring below, and let me know your favorite pairs!

Although it might not be the obvious choice, pair high-waisted biker shorts with a cropped tee to show off your figure! Biker shorts from Target paired with white platform sneakers and a white ribbed long sleeve t-shirt from Wild Fable at Target.
Another look paired with a fitted cropped t-shirt from Athleta + a jean jacket.
Perfect to run errands in on the weekends. Bike shorts from Aerie– size up!
My top pick for biker shorts that can be worn casually or to work-out. These shorts from Beyond Yoga live up to the price- they are SO soft and suck in you in all the right ways.
Paired with rose gold Birkenstock sandals, a longer jean jacket, band tee and baseball cap from Madewell.
